Brantwood Foundation

What is the Brantwood Foundation?

The "Foundation" is a non-profit corporation, established to generate funds through bequests and donations for Brantwood Centre.  Such funds are distributed to Brantwood for specific projects, equipment or services as approved by the Brantwood Foundation Board.

Why the Need?

The major share of Brantwood's day-to-day operating costs are provided by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

This funding is not adequate to cover the total costs of replacement or acquisition of new equipment or of specific capital or renovation projects. This supplementary financial support can only be provided by the private sector.

How is it Administered?

The affairs of the Foundation are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of members of the Board of Directors of Brantwood and members of the community at large.
 

Contributions to the Brantwood Foundation will allow us to build and provide the environment and equipment needed to ensure that the individuals we support may grow, slowly but surely, reaching the milestones they have chosen.

The Foundation has undertaken various fundraising activities including a charity golf tournament, the proceeds of which are used to purchase items which are considered a priority for Brantwood individuals.

The Foundation was able to purchase this specially equipped van. An automatic lift and special entry doors are features of this vehicle.
