 The Strategic Plan outlines our purpose, preferred future, beliefs, goals and objectives.

An underlying principle that is reflected in all of our future directions is:
- a commitment to supporting people's choices in enhancing their quality of life; and
- ensuring a sustainable and effective organization.

The Board of Directors of Brantwood is pleased to share with you our strategic plan for the 2010-2015 time period.
This plan represents our commitment to addressing the critical issues facing our organization in supporting individuals with complex health and developmental challenges and their families.
The strategic planning process provided us with the opportunity to examine our capabilities, analyze external factors, consider the perspectives of our key stakeholders and develop a plan. This strategic plan is intended to be a dynamic working document that the Board will monitor regularly.
The Board looks forward to working with individuals supported by Brantwood, families, staff, volunteers, partners, funders and our community in realizing our strategic plan.

CHOICE - Respond to the choices of the people supported and their families

Goal - Brantwood Centre responds to the choices of the people supported and their families.

Objectives

1. Identify and foster relationships with people who will access our services in the future.
2. Strengthen the capacity of our services to support people's needs through all life stages.
3. Continue to promote organizational learning in relation to informed choice, individualized planning, partnerships with families, and effective strategies to promote community participation and palliative/hospice care.

RELATIONSHIPS - Enhance relationships through community participation and interactions with families, volunteers and friends
 
Goal - Brantwood Centre enhances relationships through community participation and interactions with families, volunteers and friends.

Objectives

1. Implement effective strategies to facilitate inclusion in community life.
2. Better utilize community supports and activities to meet the identified needs of individuals served.
3. Recognize and foster relationships with families, volunteers, friends and other agencies.

EXCELLENCE - Achieve excellence through the advancement of best practices and adherence to quality standards 

Goal - Brantwood Centre achieves excellence through the achievement of best practices and adherence to quality standards.
 
Objectives

1. Establish decision making that is based on best practice while monitoring, measuring and ensuring quality of service. 
2. Research and connect with others to gain and exchange knowledge. 

STEWARDSHIP - Promote careful and responsible management of all aspects of our organization, thus ensuring a sustainable future 

Goal - Brantwood Centre promotes careful and responsible management of all aspects of our organization, thus ensuring a sustainable future.

Objectives

1. Develop a succession plan to address the present and future human resource requirements of the organization.
2. Enhance the capacity of the organization to improve communication and monitor performance.
3. Seek out and respond to opportunities to increase funding.
4. Ensure a dynamic, healthy work environment that values the well-being of employees.
