Come enjoy the specialized supports at Brantwood Community Services Recreation Therapy Centre.
Perfect for adults/youth with developmental challenges and seniors, the facilities feature a Hydrotherapy Pool that reaches temperatures of 94 degrees, a Snoezelen Multi Sensory Room and accessible physical management and fitness equipment. Individualized fitness programs are developed and overseen by our in house Kinesiologist.
Brantwood focuses on providing programming that is tailored to the needs of the individual. In understanding your abilities, challenges and goal areas, Brantwood can provide you with daytime, evening and group recreation supports that are reflective of your needs.

Our Goal at the Recreation and Therapy Centre is:
- To provide opportunities for individuals in the community to improve or maintain their physical wellness in a well equipped and fully accessible environment.
- To have opportunities to socialize with others during recreational and educational activities.
The Recreation and Therapy Centre is open to the public as well as the people supported by Brantwood. Room rentals, activity programs, and use of equipment are all available for purchase.

Foundations for Success
Are you a person with a disability wanting to work, volunteer or gain practical skills? The Foundations for Success program is a fully funded pre-employment program that will provide you with the opportunity to gain employability skills with both hands on and in class sessions. There is no cost for this service as this program is fully funded by the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

Brantwood Community Services provides a fully accessible hydrotherapy pool that offers significant therapeutic benefits to those with joint pain or stiffness as well as providing a soothing medium for an afternoon swim. Therapeutic rehabilitative programs for weight bearing, supported standing, range of motion and resistance exercises are just a few of the valuable uses of this resource. The hydrotherapy pool also houses a sensory waterfall and sprinkler feature that can be controlled by the occupants of the pool. The pool is open to the public as well as the people Brantwood supports.
Entrance to the pool is barrier free, as there is both a ramp for a gradual entrance and a ceiling track lift for those with limited mobility. Our change rooms also house a ceiling lift, water chairs, lifejackets and other equipment for your convenience.

Snoezelen Multi Sensory Room
The generosity of a Trillium Foundation grant allowed Brantwood to provide a fully equipped Snoezelen Multi Sensory Room.
What is a Snoezelen Multi Sensory Room?
A Snoezelen Multi Sensory Room incorporates a selection of specialized sensory equipment and materials that help people with special needs progress in their education and therapy goals. A Snoezelen room incorporates a blend of sights, sounds, textures and motion to provide stimulation and promote relaxation.
Individuals using the Snoezelen Room can enjoy the environment by either controlling the equipment used or reflectively enjoying the experience.
The Snoezelen room is available for use by appointment. People supporting individuals using the room are trained on the operation and care of equipment prior to use.

Day Support Services
Brantwood Community Services provides meaningful day opportunities that are available for purchase. Support options are available any day of the week and are flexible to meet your individual needs.
Some activities include:
- Life skills training
- Computer skill training
- Cooking Class
- Bowling, mini golf, swimming and other recreational activities
- Art class and social activities
